25 Years of God’s Faithfulness: A Marriage Filled With Footprints
Twenty-five years ago, Mark and I began our life together without knowing all the places the journey would take us.
We could not see every joyful season, every challenge, every answered prayer, or every road God would ask us to walk. We simply made a promise to love one another and trusted Him with everything that would follow.
Looking through these photographs today, we see much more than beautiful destinations. We see twenty-five years of God’s goodness.
MORE THAN PLACES ON A MAP
The places shown in this Reel are only a few of the many destinations we have been blessed to see and enjoy together.
Our journey has taken us through busy cities, quiet beaches, mountain roads, national parks, and places we once only dreamed of visiting. We have stood beneath the grandeur of El Capitan in Yosemite, looked across the vast beauty of the Grand Canyon, explored the red-rock landscapes of Utah, and made family memories from Florida and Hilton Head to Minnesota and Fargo.
God has also allowed us to travel through many parts of Europe and experience iconic cities such as Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Vienna, and Nice. Every destination gave us something new to discover, but the greatest gift was experiencing it together.
The places were beautiful, but the people beside us made them unforgettable.
A JOURNEY STILL UNFOLDING
Over the years, travel has become an important part of our family story.
48 OF THE 50 UNITED STATES
We have now explored 48 of the 50 United States, with only Alaska and Oregon remaining in our journey. Follow our 50 States Journey as we slowly share the places, experiences, and family memories we collected along the way:

We have also visited 17 of America’s 63 national parks, each one reminding us of the beauty, variety, and wonder of God’s creation. Stay tuned as we begin sharing more stories from those adventures too.
Along the way, we have collected far more stories and photographs than we could ever fit into one short Reel. What you see here is only a small glimpse.
Slowly, we will be sharing more of these places, experiences, and family memories here on Faithful Footprints Journey. From our 50 States journey and national park adventures to our travels across Europe and beyond, there are still so many footprints waiting to become stories.
Stay tuned as we revisit the roads we have traveled and share what made each destination meaningful to our family.
THE FOOTPRINTS BETWEEN THE PHOTOGRAPHS
A Reel can show the destinations, but it cannot fully show everything that happened between the photographs.
It cannot capture every prayer whispered during an uncertain season, every sacrifice quietly made for our family, or every ordinary day when God gave us enough strength and grace to keep moving forward.
Marriage has not simply been one long vacation. Like every meaningful journey, it has included unexpected turns, difficult roads, lessons learned, and moments when we had to trust God without knowing what came next.
Yet through every season, He remained faithful.
He provided when we needed provision. He strengthened us when we felt tired. He protected our family, guided our decisions, and surrounded us with people who encouraged us along the way.
THE GREATEST JOURNEY WE HAVE SHARED
As wonderful as traveling has been, our greatest journey has been building a life and raising our family together.
Some of our most precious footprints were not made in famous destinations. They were made at home—in everyday conversations, family celebrations, shared meals, school activities, church, laughter, tears, and countless small moments that became part of our story.
Those ordinary days were sacred too.
Our children grew as we traveled. Our family traditions grew with them. The photographs changed through the years, but God’s presence remained constant.
When we look back now, we recognize that His goodness was never limited to the mountaintops. He was also with us in the valleys, in the waiting, and in the quiet seasons when we could not yet understand what He was doing.
GRATEFUL FOR YESTERDAY, TRUSTING HIM WITH TOMORROW
Celebrating twenty-five years does not mean that we have arrived at the end of our journey. It simply gives us a beautiful place to pause, look back, and say, “Thank You, Lord.”
Thank You for the places we have seen.
Thank You for the memories we have made.
Thank You for our children, our family, and the life we have shared.
Thank You for carrying us through every season and for remaining faithful even when the road was difficult.
There are still places we hope to visit and dreams we continue to carry. We do not know exactly where the next chapter will lead, but after twenty-five years, we know the One who will lead us there.
Every photograph in this Reel represents a place we have been, but together they tell a greater story—a story of marriage, family, adventure, grace, and God’s enduring faithfulness.
Twenty-five years. Countless memories. So many footprints.
And through them all, God has been good.
“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” — Psalm 126:3
