Our Tried-and-True Europe Travel Adapter: From Study Abroad to Family Adventures
Sometimes the smallest things we pack end up traveling the farthest with us. ✈️
We originally bought this European travel adapter in 2023 when our daughter Jael was preparing for her first study-abroad experience during her first semester of college. At the time, it was simply one of those practical things we knew she would need while living and traveling overseas.
Little did we know that this little adapter would eventually become one of our family's most-used travel companions. 😂
When we traveled through Europe as a family in July 2025, we brought it with us—and this time, Jael wasn't the first-time traveler anymore. In places she had already experienced during study abroad, she became one of our guides, helping us navigate destinations that had once been new to her.
Then in May 2026, the adapter packed its bags again. 😂 Our son Adriel took it with him for his own two-week study-abroad experience in the UK.
Three years. Two study-abroad experiences. One big family trip through Europe. And the same little travel adapter was still going strong.
That's why I wanted to include it here on Faithful Footprints. I'm not recommending something simply because I found it online—this is something our family actually bought, packed, used, and trusted through years of travel.

The Little Travel Adapter That Kept Traveling With Us ✈️
We bought this European travel adapter back in 2023, and after several trips and two study-abroad adventures, it has definitely earned its place on our family's travel essentials list.
What I especially like about it is that several devices can be plugged in at the same time. When you're traveling as a family—with phones, watches, power banks and other electronics constantly needing a charge—that becomes incredibly useful.
Ours has traveled through Europe with us, survived being packed and unpacked countless times, and then went right back into another suitcase when Adriel left for the UK. 😂 For something so simple, we've gotten a lot of use out of it.

A Quick Travel Tip
An adapter is not the same as a voltage converter. Before plugging in appliances such as hair dryers, curling irons, or other high-powered devices, always check that the device supports the voltage used at your destination.

It's funny how something as ordinary as a travel adapter can become part of so many memories.
We first packed it while preparing Jael to experience the world on her own. Later, it traveled through Europe with our family. And then it found its way into Adriel's suitcase for an adventure of his own.
Maybe that's why I enjoy keeping track of the little things we use along the way. Sometimes they carry stories too. ❤️
