👣 How the 50-State Dream Began

Exploring has always been part of who we are.

We’ve always loved seeing new places, trying new experiences, and discovering what makes each destination different. When we were living in New Jersey, I became especially curious about the country we now called home. I wanted to see for myself what made up the United States—not simply the famous cities, but the different states, landscapes, people, and experiences along the way.

So we started close to home.

The Northeast became our playground. Whenever we had an opportunity—a spring break, summer vacation, or even just a long weekend—we would pack up and explore another state.

One by one, we started crossing them off.

New state. New experience. Another footprint. 👣

There was something exciting about watching our little family consistently move toward a goal, even though we weren't in a hurry to finish it.

And our travels weren't limited to the Northeast. While we were still living in New Jersey, our vacations had already taken us to states in the South, Midwest, and West. Without really noticing it at first, our map of America was slowly filling in.

Then life brought us to Texas.

By then, we realized we had completed the Northeast—and suddenly a whole new part of the country was within reach. The South, the Midwest, and especially the West started calling.

What began simply as our love for travel had quietly become something much bigger:

Could we actually visit all 50 states? 🇺🇸

And so, we kept going.

One trip. One memory. One state at a time.

Over the years, through road trips, flights, family vacations, quick stops, and unforgettable adventures, we've left our footprints in 48 of the 50 states.

We didn't rush it. We simply kept going—one trip, one memory, and one state at a time.

And now, after all these years, only two states remain: Oregon and Alaska.

The journey isn't finished yet. And that's what makes this chapter so exciting. 🇺🇸👣❤️
